Obituary of Andrew S. Chaparosa

Andrew Stephen Chaparosa, Sr., age 81, passed away on December 22, 2015 in Ontario, CA. He was born on March 12, 1934 in San Jacinto, CA on the Soboba Indian Reservation. Andrew resided in Banning, CA for most of his life, where he married his loving wife of 55 years, Florentina, and raised his family. He bravely served in our Military as a member of the United States Army. Andrew worked as a truck driver for Waste Management for 35 years. He was a Catholic and a member of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Banning, CA. Andrew is survived by his wife, Florentina Chaparosa; his daughters Lynn Chaparosa, Alesia Reed, and Stephanie Alcorn; his grandchildren Jackson Chaparosa, Andelina Chaparosa, Skye Chaparosa, Andrew S. Chaparosa III, Michael Chaparosa, Lawrence Alcorn, and Juliane Alcorn; and his great-grandchildren Isaac Reyna, Ilina Reyna, Melody Morrell, Wyatt Morrell, Noah Chaparosa, Olivia Chaparosa, and Andrew Alcorn. He also leaves behind his brother John and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents Gregory John Chaparosa and Helen Pachaco, brothers and sisters, his son Andrew Chaparosa, Jr., and his granddaughter Evette L. Morreo. A visitation is scheduled for Mr. Chaparosa on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Wiefels & Son Memorial Chapel: 50 E. Nicolet St. Banning, CA. 92220 with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 10:00a.m. at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church: 157 W Nicolet St, Banning, CA 92220 followed by interment at Los Coyotes Cemetery.
