Obituary of Antonio Miranda

Motz passed away at his home June 7, 2010. He was born July 5, 1948. He is survived by his wife, Frances and six children; Shannon, Antonio 'Dude' & Toni 'Baby Toni' (by Sherri Saubel) and Shane (by Penny Menzna); step-sons, Roy and Joseph Mathews. He leaves behind two sisters, Lavon & Tonette 'Corn' Miranda; four brothers, Leroy (Alice), Ralph 'Odie' (Cindi), Joe (Leann) & Paul (Darlene) Miranda, of the Morongo Indian Reservation. Motz had 14 grandchildren, on great grandchild, one God child and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio 'Grampa Tony' & Minerva 'Nervie' Miranda. Motz attended Mt. San Jacinto College where he learned auto mechanics. He also worked at Morongo Indian Bingo in maintenance. Motz loved cooking and was an exceptional cook. Many called him the 'Chuck Wagon' as he always carried food with him in the Morongo Canyons. His greatest pleasure in life was being out in those canyons shooting, hunting and socializing with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
