Obituary of Marilyn Steward
Marilyn Denise Steward was born September 23, 1959 in Banning, California. She was youngest girl of six children born to Commodore Perry and Marian Louise Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry Steward, her brother and sister Marvin Henderson and Brenda Horne, and her niece Kim Henderson.
Some of Marilyn's passions were Family, cooking, music and her biggest one had to be the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ. She was dedicated to her faith and her children and prayed every day the Lord to watch over her family and friends. Marilyn was loved by a list of family and friends and she loved them as well. She had a will that could not be broken and heart to match. She wanted nothing but great things for her family and taught them to always follow their dreams. Marilyn could not turn anyone away that needed help she believed, do unto others as you would like them to do unto you.
Marilyn received her education in Banning; her nick name in school was Olive Oil all due to her slim appearance. She was later known for her beautiful vibrant smile that could light up ant dark room or put a similar smile on the face of anyone she talked to. Her smile was only matched by her personality; she was something of a comedian and always full of joy. Few new that Marilyn had an adventures side and once asked her son to take her sky diving with him. But all should know this, the day she fell in love with a fellow they called Dangerous Red. The two of them had know each other for most of their lives and decided to start a family. This would bring Labrea, Jabar and Precious Steward into this world; the two of them had separate children that they loved like their own, Shayona Session who was Marilyn's first born and Azia Aldred. Marilyn and Henry were formally married September 13, 1955 and were never seen apart until Henry's passing. Now they have been reunited in a place far better than the one they left.
Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory five devoted children, Shayona Session, Labrea Steward, Jabar Steward, Azia Aldred and Precious Denery. Her sister Linda Joyce Williams; brothers, Shaddie Muhammad and Pery Lewis Willimas. She had eight grand children, D'Shara, Drieanna, Zakarriya, Zarayiah, Neyloni, Naleyah, Naliyah and Judah. Marilyn had 9 nieces, 8 nephews and 13 grand nieces and nephews, all who loved and will miss her.
