Frances Grace Becerra 87, of the Morongo Indian Reservation, peacefully, entered into heaven on May 9, 2010. Frances was born on the Morongo Indian Reservation August 28, 1922, the daughter of John and Susie Linton. She attended Sherman Indian School in Riverside, CA. On February 9, 1945, in Quartzsite, Arizona, she married Joe J. Becerra. Frances was a homemaker. She had a great love of gardening and was extremely proud of her beautiful rose garden. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. One of her favorite things was spending time with her family. Frances survived by her husband of 65 years, Joe Becerra and her children, Joanna Ruiz (Norman), Virginia Lyons (Ronald Sr.) and Joe Becerra (Terry) of Morongo Indian Reservation, and Yvonne Silvas (Charles Sr.) of Soboba Indian Reservation; sisters, Christine Marcus and Doris Sanchez; brother, John Linton all of Morongo. She was blessed to be the grandmother of Dondi Nichols (Silvas), Jr., Keri Lyons, Ronald Lyons Jr., Joe Becerra Jr., and Jared Becerra. She was also the great grandmother to eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and godmother to Chovies Duran, Bruce James and Donald Lyons. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John o'Brien, Leonard and Theodore Linton; sister, Minerva Miranda; grandsons Norman Jr. and Sean Ruiz, all of Morongo.
