I never had the opportunity to work directly around Bob. But in the few moments I would see him at Main Gate, or in the hallways of the Command, I never heard a harsh word or criticism. Instead he would leave me with a humorus quip or funny anecdote, or a really funny joke. He didn't feel the necessity to brag about who he was, or how important he was. He was a Marine, and a true Gentleman. My sincerest condolences to the family in this time of grief. May you all find peace in the many prayers your family will receive.
