Age 77, Resident of Banning, CA for over 50 years, passed away Dec. 1, 2009. Donald was born May 19, 1932 in Oak Park, IL. He was a employed by the California Highway Patrol fo 10 years; Department of Motor Vehicles-Special Investigator for 20 years, retiring in 1987. He served in the United States Navy 8 years from 1952-1960, serving in the Korea War. Donald attended the University of Redlands, receiving he Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Law. He was a member and twice past Master of Masonic Lodge in Banning and Yucaipa for the past 50 years; Banning School Board for 8 years; belonged to Scottish Right & Shriners; past "Scoutmaster" of the Banning Boy Scouts, active in the Boy Scouts, Rainbow Girls; Banning Sportsman Club; member of Banning United Methodist Church. Donald is survived by his wife, Phyllis Miller, Banning, CA; son, Andrew (Peggy) Miller of San Ramon, CA; step-son, David Latham of San Diego, CA; step-daughter, Lisa Latham of Lakewood, CA; brother, Dick (Helen) Miller of Richmond, IN; granddaughter, Sandra Miller of Sacramento, CA; step-grandchildren, Adam and Scott of San Diego, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Miller of Banning.
