Obituary of Wesley Jones

Wesley Earl Jones, 78, passed away at Redlands Community Hospital on May 28, 2009. He was born on April 19, 1931 to his parents, Earl William and Opal Hobbs Jones in Garrison, MO. Wesley met a married his wife, Iola, in Sparta, MO and were married for 54 years. He and his wife moved to Washington and lived there for 2 years and had 2 daughters, then moved Brea, CA for 2 years, they then moved to Iowa until 1965, and later bought a house in Banning, living in the community for 44 years. Wesley was affiliated with the Baptist church and retired from the Banning Unified School District. He was a devoted family man who loved the outdoors, fishing in Minnesota every year. Wesley enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, going to birthdays, school functions, BBQ's, watching birds and lights of cars coming down the hill from Idyllwild from his backyard swing with his wife Iola, weekends away at the beach and playing in the playground at 2AM with his loving wife. Wesley is survived by his wife, Iola Jones of Banning, CA; sister, Rubie Jones of Cherry Valley, CA; daughters, Debra (Russell) Harger of Tempe, AZ and Janice (Buzz) Balmforth of Yucaipa, CA; grandchildren, Candice D. Walls (Chris Ross) of Hemet, CA, Blair Balmforth of Danbury, CT, John M. (Natasha) Walls of Oceanside, CA, Meegan E. (Kris) Roney of Menifee, CA, Heather (Tony) Weissmer of Hemet, CA, Brett Balmforth of Yucaipa, CA; and 6 great grand-children, Kaleb Roney, Madison Walls, Olivia Walls, Aiden Roney, Audrey Roney, and Mia Ross. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl William and Opal Hobbs Jones and brother, Reggie Jones.
