Known to many as 'The Flying Dutchman" - Franklin peacefully left us early on the morning of April 14, 2009 after a two year battle with colon cancer to be with his Heavenly Father. Franklin is survived by his wife Doris, daughters Marsha and Lauri with grandchildren Megan, Raymond and Tyler, step-daughter Cheryl, step-sons Larry, Raymond and John with grandchildren Lisa, Raymond Jr., and David and great grand daughter Dahmya. Frank served in the armed forces from March 1950 to August 1953. After trying his hand at most things from steel mills to carpentry, he decided to make a living as a truck driver, which he did for the better part of 50 years. One of his greatest passions in life was auto racing " you would often find him tinkering with a race car or actually on the track driving one! If he wasn't at a track watching a race live, you can bet he would try to catch it on TV " or at least the highlights! He was a member of the Western Auto Racing Association for the past 27 years. He also loved to dance and could Polka like nobody's business! You finished well Daddy " We Love You!
