Obituary of Alfonzo Norman

84, passed away on January 27, 2009 at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning, CA. He was born in Hickory, Mississippi on February 20, 1924. In 1942 he joined the US Army and became a Staff Sergeant. He was a WWII Veteran and received Declarations and Citations- ATO MED; EAMETO MED; APTO MED; GOOD COND MED and WWII VICTORY MED. Alfonzo met and married his wife, Ezell, of 60 years in 1948 and was retired from the Construction Laborers Union. As a Deacon, he was actively involved in his church, First Missionary Baptist Church in Banning, CA, and always served in any area he was needed. Alfonzo was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Ezell Norman of Banning, CA; son, Larry and Victoria Norman, Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Dorothy Howard, Banning, CA; Eloise Norman, Fontana, CA; Gloria Norman, Ontario, CA; grandsons, Lemar Norman, Las Vegas, NV; Preston Howard, Vista, CA; Darius Williams, Fontana, CA; Roderick Huling, Ontario, CA; great-granddaughter, Renee Howard, Vista, CA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
