His family will remember him as a loving father and grandfather whose guiding hand has shaped every aspect of their lives.
He will be remebered by all who knew him for his commitment to community service and as a teacher in the broadest sense of the word. His greatest love was a passion for helping people identify their capabilities and dreams and showing them that they are attainable. He was most proud of his students and the belief that he had some small part in their success as they went forward in their life and careers.
In lieu of flowers, consistent with Phil's wishes, the family requests that friends perform an act of kindness in his memory. If friends wish to make a donation in his memory please consider the Banning High School alumni scholarship fund 100 W. Westward, Banning, Ca 92220 or a scholarship program of the donors choosing to honor his passion for making higher education available to everyone.
Graveside services in celebration of Phil's life will be held at San Gorgonio Memorial Park Thursday, May 22, at 2:00 pm.
