Obituary of Paul Fowler

Paul C. Fowler, 89, of Banning and formerly of Long Beach, CA passed away Saturday, April 11 at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana, CA. Born and raised in Haddonfield, NJ, he and his family moved to Long Beach, CA in 1954. Following retirement, he and his wife relocated to Banning, CA in 1981. Paul was a proud WWII Veteran having served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Iowa in the South Pacific. He was a member of Fellowship Lodge #668 F&AM in Yucaipa; formerly a member of Seaside Lodge #504 F&Am and San Gorgonio Lodge #608 F&AM, and a past member of Al Malaikah Shrine Temple and Empire Valley Shrine Club. He was predeceased by his wife Doris of 60 years and his brothers John W. Fowler and Newbern "Reds" Fowler of New Jersey. Survivors include his son, Paul Jr. of Banning; daughter Joyce and son-in-law Don Bailey of Cypress; and 3 nephews. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, CA at 11:00 am. Wiefels & Son of Banning is in charge of arrangements.
