Obituary of O'neil Jandreau

O'Neil J. Jandreau, age 76, of Banning, California, passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Neil is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Brigitte; daughter Eva McIntee, and sons Gerhard "Gary" Winter, Robert Jandreau and Neal Jandreau, along with their spouses Jim, Donna, Sara and Raquel as well as eight very much loved grandchildren, and extended family members in his home state of Maine. A loving husband, father and "Opa" as well as friend to many, Neil was especially proud of the 22 years he served in the United States Army with service to his country in Korea, Germany, Vietnam and the United States. He enjoyed teaching engine repair to the handicapped and was a mentor and sponsor to many friends of Bill W. He loved Colorado, the Denver Broncos, Starbucks, traveling, watching movies and spending time with friends and family. The family will receive friends to celebrate O'Neil's life on 4/19 at 2802 Rainbow Lane, Banning from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Private family interment services are being held on April 21st at Riverside National Cemetery where he will be put to rest to honor his service as a Veteran. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made on his behalf to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of the United States. The family wishes to extend their thanks and support to all those who provided love, care and support during Neil's illness. We find comfort knowing that he is resting peacefully after living a full live, "One day at a time."
