Obituary of William Liskey
William Alois Liskey passed away February 15, 2013 at The Lakes Memory Care Center in Banning. He was 89. William was born in Canton, Ohio on May 9, 1923 to William Liskey and Clara Scheiring. He was married to His late wife Phyllis for 51 years.
He lived in Banning for 25 years. He also resided in Fullerton for 11 years, Norwalk for 35 years and Canton, Ohio for 18 years.
William attended St. Peter and McKinley High Schools in Canton. He was a retired bank manager for Bank of America. He served in the Navy from March 1942 to January 1947 as a signalman first class. He was a member of the Lions Club and attended San Gorgonio Catholic
Church in Beaumont. He loved to dance.
William is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; parents, William and Clara; sister, Maxine; and son, Ronald. He is survived by his sons, Michael Liskey, of Stanton, and Patrick Liskey of Anaheim; daughters, Maureen Almazan, of Anaheim, and Kathleen Acosta, of Whittier; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. with rosary at 4 p.m. at Wiefels & Son Memorial Chapel in Banning. Service will be held on Monday, February 25 at 11 a.m. at the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, 1234 Palm Ave. in Beaumont. Burial will follow at noon at San Gorgonio Memorial Park.
