Obituary of Robert Moore
Robert "Lucky" Moore, 73, of Banning, Calif., lost his battle with cancer Monday,
Nov. 5, 2012, at his residence with his loving wife Ruby and family at his side.
He was born in Sandgap, Kentucky to the late William and Nancy Moore.
"Lucky" was a bartender of the San Gorgonio Inn, Stagecoach, El Rancho, and Jimmy's Restaurant, also in Orange County, Calif. "Mill Inn", Robert retired as a Security Guard from Sun Lakes in Banning, CA.
Robert served his country in the USMC during the Korean War from 1958 thru 1961 and was a Corporal E3 & machine operator with an Honorable Discharge. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Olvera Moore of Banning; 2 sisters, Blanche Guerra of Miamisburg, Ohio and Vivi Spiteri of Harris, Minn; 1 brother, John Moore of Rhodhiss, North Carolina; daughter, Shannon Moore Spicer of Las Vegas, Nevada; son, D'Wayne Kevin Moore of Las Vegas, Nevada; step-children Dorothy (Daniel) Olvera, Joseph (Victoria) Diaz, Julia (George) Diaz Sanchez, Theresa Diaz, Christine Burke, Darlene Burke, James Burke; godson, Richard Lucky Franco; 39 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Lucille Granados Gonzalez.
Family would like to give a special Thank You to Marcella Marcus Roberts and Hospice who were at his side all through his time of illness.
Visitation will be held at Wiefels & Son Memorial Chapel in Banning, Calif., on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 from 4p.m. - 7p.m. w/ Honors at 5:00 &Rosary at 6:00p.m. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and can be made to Ruby Moore.
