Obituary of Ernest Baker

Ernest Baker of Loma Linda, Calif. formerly of Calimesa, Calif. passed away on Sept., 20, 2012 at the DVA Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda. He was born on June 12, 1929 in Oshtemo, Mich. to his parents, LaVern and Etta Mae Baker. He served in the US Army, as a sergeant serving in the Korean War & receiving an honorable discharge. He was a railroad worker and foreman for 40 years and was retired 30 years prior to his death. He was a Christian and a member of Oak Valley Church, as well as, 32nd Degree Master Mason. He is remembered for his warmth and generous smile. Ernest is survived by his son Ernie Baker II; daughter, Misuk Baker both of Yucaipa, Calif; grandson, Daniel and his wife Amanda Baker of Los Angeles, Calif; grandson, David Baker of Los Angeles, Calif. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Bernice Baker. Services will be held at Wiefels & Son Mortuary, Banning, Monday, Sept., 24, 2012 at 3:00p.m. Graveside service will take place at Mt. Everest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo, Mich. he will be laid to rest with his wife, Bernice.
