Obituary of Connie Virginia McComisky

Connie Virginia McComisky passed away at the age of 74 in her Banning home on July 20, 2017 with her granddaughters Sam and Jackie at her side.

 

She was born on January 21, 1943 in Artesia, New Mexico, the first born of Eugene V. and Mary Helen (Spence) Aday

 

In her more than 60 years residing in Banning she worked as an insurance agent, notary, ran the A&W Root Beer stand, was on staff at the Chamber of Commerce and in healthcare as a CNA. Among many contributions to the community were as Cub Scout Den Mother, president of the DeMolay parent's club and Little League team mom. She also created many award winning costumes for the Stage Coach Days parade.

 

Her later years were spent enjoying country music, television crime dramas and feeding her sweet tooth. She was rarely seen without an ice cold Coca Cola.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Aday .

 

Surviving Connie are sisters Jean Piexoto, Kay Butler, Barbara McDonald; brother Richard Bellis; children and their spouses Tom and Amelia of Hilo, Hawaii, Stewart and Sarah of Cherry Valley, Pamela and Jamie Brown of Winchester, Ron and Netty of San Jacinto; grandchildren Lindsay, Heather, Norma, Leilani, Tristan, Michael, Phillip, Katie, Samantha, Jacqueline, Erin, Alex, Ian, 7 great-grandchildren and a great­ grandson due in October.

 

Special thanks to her friend and caretaker Taylor Knight and the staff at Living Waters Hospice - Ed, Lenay, Jamie and Vickie - you allowed the family to fulfill Connie's request to stay at home where she was happiest.

Viewing and visitation will be on Thursday July 27th from 4-8 pm at Wiefels and Sons Mortuary 50 N Nicolet in Banning. Graveside services will be on Friday July 28th at 10am Summit Cemetery 2201 San Gorgonio in Banning.
