Obituary of Clara Marie Galindo

Clara Marie Galindo, age 44, passed away at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning, CA on April 14, 2017. Clara was born on May 19, 1972 to her parents Harold Mathews, Sr. & Clarice Segundo in Palm Springs, CA. She was a mother of two boys and grandmother of 3 grandchildren, who were her world. Clara received her G.E.D and went onto study Vocational Nursing. Throughout her later years she was a Delegate for the Riverside Indian Health Board for 14 years as a Representative for her tribe Agua Caliente of Palm Springs; was on the Executive Board for 4 years with Riverside & San Bernardino County Indian Health & served on many committees. Clara was an amazing mother & grandmother and pillar in her family. She will be best remembered for the love she had for her family & friends. She will forever be missed but we will carry her within our hearts until we are able to be together again. Clara is survived by her sons Randy Galindo of Beaumont, CA, Ryan Galindo of Palm Springs, CA; daughter Apolonia Galindo of San Bernardino, CA; granddaughter Aiyana Galindo of San Bernardino, CA; grandsons, Raymond Mathews of San Bernardino, CA & Randy Galindo of Soboba, CA; brothers Harold Mathews of Yucca Valley, CA, Clifford Wilson Mathews of Banning, CA, Jeff Mills of Banning, CA; sisters Nancy Galindo of Banning, CA, Julianne Mildren of Beaumont, CA, Jackie Warren of Lake Isabella, CA, Jenna L. Sesma of Beaumont, CA; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Clara was preceded in death by her husband Randy Galindo; father Harold Mathews, Sr; mother Clarice Segundo-Bow; sister, Clarissa Mathews; grandfather Clifford Wilson, Sr.; grandmother Doris Mathews; grandparents Clara & Wilson Bow. A Visitation was held at Wiefels & Son Mortuary of Banning, CA, Wed., April 19, 2017. A Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe of Palm Springs, CA, Thurs., April 20, 2017 w/Burial at Jane Augustine Pantencio Cemetery of Palm Springs, CA.
