Obituary of Barbara Jones

Barbara Nell Jones(Evans) 64, of San Bernardino, CA passed away on April 3, 2017 in Redlands, CA. Funeral service will be held at Wiefels and Son Memorial Chapel in Banning, CA on Thursday April 13, 2017 at 2pm with Bishop Phillip Powell of The Centre at Highland officiating. Visitation will be held at Wiefels and Son Memorial Chapel on Thursday April 13, 2017 at 1pm. Wiefels and Son Mortuary will be handling the funeral arrangements. Barbara was born in Florence, Mississippi to Samuel and Lois Evans on November 16, 1952. She went to high school at Banning High School and graduated in 1970. She spent many years on the road as a long haul truck driver. Barbara is survived by her son James Evans and wife Connie of San Bernardino, son Jerome Moten of San Bernardino, daughter Antoinette Wilson of San Bernardino. Grandchildren James T Evans, Latinzania Cooper-Evans, Isaiah Carr and Zelina Cleveland. Mother Lois Evans of Banning. Brother Calvin “Bo” Evans and wife Pat of San Jacinto, brother Albert “Sweet Pea” M Evans of Long Beach, brother Wavie L Evans and wife Yvette of San Antonio TX, sister Teri Payne and husband David of Las Vegas NV, brother Rex Evans of Mentone, brothers Orran and Ronnie Evans of Banning. 27 nieces and nephews and 33 great nieces and nephews and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Samuel A. Evans, daughter Angela Moten and brother Jerry C. Evans. So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:42-44 The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the donors who help fund this memorial. The family of Barbara is grateful to God for her life, your love, friendship and kindness and prayers. Interment will be handled by Wiefels and Sons Mortuary.
