Obituary of Wanda Oleta Jensen
Wanna “Wanda” Oleta Jensen, 87, was born on January 17, 1930 in Shamrock, Texas, to Ulysses Harrison and Sarah Jane Corley, and entered into eternal life on March 26, 2017, at her home of 48 years in Banning, California.
Wanda is preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth A. Williams, and her second husband Alvin C. “Bud” Jensen. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Terri Williams Bates, and grandson Nicolas Martin.
She is survived by her son Randy “Willy” Williams (Monte), and daughter Debra (Robert) Martin, son-in-law Jake Bates (Alicia) all of Banning; step-sons Jim Jensen (Renee) of Spokane, WA and Mark Jensen (Trudy) of Clovis, CA; grandchildren Scott Williams (Jennifer), Ryan Martin, Sarah Field (Travis), Regan Martin, Isaac Bates (Vanessa), and Nathan Bates; 10 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and numerous step grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Marvin Corley (Tressa) of Visalia, CA, and numerous nieces, nephews and close family friends.
Wanda was a long time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Beaumont, California. Her faith and her family were what meant the most to her in life. She leaves a legacy of love that she was very proud of. She enjoyed spending time in Montana during the summer with her Jensen family. She was also a member of the local Pass Rock Club.
A memorial service was held at the First Assembly of God Church. Burial was private at the San Gorgonio Memorial Park in Banning.
The family wishes to acknowledge Wanda’s loving caregivers: Monte Williams, Kara Cress, Paula Henson, and Erica Rios. Their extraordinary compassion was blessing and comfort to her and the family and we are sincerely grateful to each of them for their kindness.
