Obituary of Glover E. Paige

Mr. Glover Edwiner Paige, known to some as just “Paige” and to others as “Whopper” or “Glovtrotter” peacefully went home to be with the Lord, at home on Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Banning, California at the age of 79. Glover was born on July 4, 1973 in Pass Christian, Mississippi. He was the firstborn to Florin Dedeaux and Willetta Saucier. At an early age he was sent to live in Fontana, California to be raised by his Aunt Claudia. He graduated from Fontana High School in 1955. After high school Glover stepped out into the workforce. He was dedicated and worked hard at all that he set out to do. Through a previous marriage, the Lord seen fit to bless Glover with five children, Glover, George, Angela, Bridgette and Johanna. However, in 1962 Glover moved to Banning, California. That is where he met the love of his life, Martha, who stayed faithfully by his side until the very end. Through this union they were blessed with David, Derrick and Tasha. Being the incredible man that he was, he also committed himself to the care of his two step-daughters Joanne and Diane. Determined to raise his now ten children to be responsible well rounded individuals, he led by example. In 1981 Glover established “Paige and Sons Trucking Co.”, where he worked diligently to enhance the business, as well as, the life of his family. In 2006 Glover reluctantly sold his truck and retired. His children pursued their goals. Glover loved spending time with his loved ones, fishing, barbequing, eating riding horses, singing and playing his guitar. Most of all Glover will be remembered for the love and respect that he had for the Lord, as well as, others. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Banning, California. Glover will truly be missed. Glover is preceded in death by Elizabeth Warren and Audrey Dedeaux of DeLisle, Mississippi, Sherman Paige and Iris Reeves of Chicago, Illinois. Glovers leaves to cherish his loving memory; his beloved wife, Martha Ann Paige; children, Glover Bless and Victoria Paige, George Lanier Paige, Angela Marie Paige, Brigitte Willetta Paige, Kelvin and Johanna Elaine Stokes, David Earl and Lucy Paige, Derrick Lamont and Melvina Paige, Tasha Renee Paige; step-children, Johanne Mitchell and Diane Dancer; siblings, Constance Reeves of Pass Christian, Mississippi, Diane Dedeaux of Golf Port, Mississippi, Mark Dedeaux of DeLisle, Mississippi, Florin Dedeaux Jr. and Earl Dedeaux of Bay St. Louis, Missouri, Iris Paige of Suisun City, California, Sharon Paige-Pressley of Vacaville, California, Joyce Burnnen of Portsmouth England in the UK, Fred Brown of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren, Chaka, Jameel, Anthony, Brinetta, Jamar, Tarik, Edward, Antonnette, Larry, Leon Lamont, Brittnay, Briana, Manda, Styrone, Tajiana, Jada, Maliyah, Kaleb, and Aariah, Also a host of nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
