Obituary of Ruth Maxine Beauregard

Ruth Maxine (Gettman) Beauregard, 88, of Beaumont, CA affectionately known as “Grandma” by those that knew her, passed away on February 25, 2017. Dearest mom & best friend of Suzanne (Alger) Carnivele, cherished grandma of Michelle Alger, loving great grandma of Adrianna, Alexzander, Aidan & Annabella Jones, and friend to loyal companions Bougie & Bear the family dogs.

Ruth was born May 18, 1929 to Fred & Catherine Gettman in Pomona, CA. The family moved to Banning, in 1939. While in school she took up the Accordion playing for school events including occasional Saturday afternoon’s for the local radio station. Upon her graduation from Banning High School in 1947 she began work as a Teller at Citizen’s Bank until 1960 when she left to become a fulltime mother & homemaker.

In 1954 she married Frank Beauregard & they moved to Beaumont. During 1975-1995 she sold Avon. Always one of the top sellers in the Pass Area, she received the Prestigious Albee Award from Avon’s President’s Club on a regular basis.

In later years she treasured the time spent with Michelle sharing her wisdom on life, with Adrianna listening to her play her Baritone, with Alexzander the many colorful loom bracelets he always made for her, with Aidan helping her get things she couldn’t reach, with Annabella all the playtime they spent together, the beloved time she spent with her furry friend Bougie, with Cherie all the beautiful homemade cards, with David his great sense of humor, with Mitch, Nickey & Valentine all the adventures with The Boy Scouts, with Audi hearing about the wonderful family vacations to Spain, with Chad reminiscing of the good ol’ days & with Ben the updates on her favorite TV programs.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank (1994), sister Vivian Jackson (2012) & brother-in-law Tommy Jackson (2006). She is also survived by step-daughter & son-in-law Cherie & David Ruhman of Port Orchard, WA, grandson, Mitch Darden & his Wife Audi & great grandchildren Nickey & Valentine also of Port Orchard, WA, Chad Jones of Aurora, IL & Ben Carnivele of Chicago, IL.

She chose to see the best in others, taught us to follow our dreams, believe in ourselves & to never give up.

She was down to earth & will always be remembered for her love of family, honesty, great sense of humor, kindness & the beautiful smile that she always wore. In any given situation she would often jokingly say, “It must be the Hungarian in us” when overcoming obstacles.

A few final words shared between them, Suzanne said, “I Love You”, she responded back,

 “I Love everyone”.
