Obituary of Marilyn Ann Alloway

Marilyn Ann (Dill) Alloway went home to be with the Lord on November 2, 2016 in Banning, California. She was 80 years old. A memorial service in Marilyn’s honor will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November, 11, 2016 at LifePoint Church, 565 N. San Gorgonio Ave. in Banning, California. Interment will be private. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ray and Alma Dill, her brother, David, sister, Phyllis, and son, Bud. Marilyn is survived by her brother, Gene Dill, who resides in Northern California, five of her children, Teresa, Tina, Laura, Diana, and David and their spouses, including ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Marilyn was born on October 7, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri. Her family moved to Banning when she was a small child. She graduated from Banning High School in 1954 and earned her Associate’s degree from Riverside Community College. Marilyn was a Certified Escrow Officer and Notary Public for over 30 years in the Pass Area. She was active in the community serving with the PTA and Little League Baseball for many years. She was honored as Grandmother of the Year for Banning’s Stagecoach Days in 2001. Marilyn came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior later in life and her passion for Him was evident. She served in many ministries at LifePoint Church in Banning. She especially enjoyed working with His Kids and Children’s Church. Marilyn also loved baking and enjoyed providing goodies for the church’s coffee hour on Sunday mornings. She adored her family but most of all, she loved Jesus.
