Obituary of Dianne Elizabeth Everley

Dianne Elizabeth Everley (Flem) died peacefully at her home in Banning, CA on August 24, 2016 at the age of 71. Dianne is survived by her husband, Allan Everley of Banning, CA, her son Terry Everley of San Francisco, CA, and her brother Lloyd Flem of Olympia, WA. She is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Ruth Flem of Chehalis, WA. Dianne was born in Aberdeen, Washington and raised in Chehalis. She attended W.F. West High School, Centralia JC and the University of Puget Sound, where she was an accomplished flautist in the music program. She also won the Miss Lewis County pageant. A fourth grade teacher for over 30 years in Torrance, California, she impacted the lives of countless children. Her 41-year marriage to Al was filled with travel and sports. During this wonderful time, they played racquetball and golf, bowled, were avid RVers, and cruised the world in their later years. She was a great teacher, a wonderful wife, and an incredible mother. Her fight to the end with energy and positivity was inspiring. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her will certainly miss her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3 at 11:00 am at the Banning United Methodist Church located at 235 N. 2nd Street, Banning, CA 92220.
