Obituary of Adelina A Lopez
Adelina Arroyo Lopez passed away on July 29, 2016 in Banning, California at 87 years old. She was born to Casilda Silva and Angel Arroyo on March 13, 1929 in Sawtelle, California. Adelina was married, resided in, and raised her family in Banning, California- she spent 60 years of her life as a homemaker and raised 5 children. She was a Christian and a member of Canaan Assembly of God Church. Adelina loved life; she loved her family; She loved champurrado and tamales. She made burritos to donate to Adopt-a-Block who fed the homeless. Her tortillas and chile were her specialties.
Adelina is survived by her son, David A. Saenz, of Beaumont, CA; daughter, Ophelia A. Duran, of Banning, CA; daughter, Rosemary P. Coffer, of Victorville, CA; son, Ramon Arroyo, of Brawley, CA; daughter, Maria V. Hernandez, of Costa Mesa, CA; brothers, Antonio and Miguel Arroyo, both of Mexico; and sister, Consuelo Arroyo, of Mexico. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Adelina was preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Alberto Lopez, of Banning, CA.
A visitation for Adelina will take place on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Wiefels & Son Memorial Chapel: 50 E. Nicolet St. Banning, CA, 92220. She will be laid to rest at San Gorgonio Memorial Park: 2201 N. San Gorgonio Ave. Banning, CA, 92220 following the services.
