Obituary of Lila Ray Lesh
Lila Ray Lesh
10-6-1923 to 6-12-2016
Lila, at the age of 92, went “Safely Home” to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and her son Joey.
She and Paul were married for 69 years. They settled in Banning from New Mexico in 1946. Banning became their hometown where they resided until their deaths. She lovingly raised their three children and enjoyed many friendships during her 61 years in Banning.
For many years Lila worked faithfully as a bank teller and bookkeeper. Retirement years were spent gardening in her flower and vegetable garden. She enjoyed boating and fishing at the Colorado River, camping, and motorhome traveling throughout the US. But family time was her ultimate joy. Her family was a precious blessing to her and many wonderful times were spent together.
Lila is survived by her daughter, Elaine Knight and husband Bill; daughter, Donna Lesh; four grandchildren, Chris (Lavette) Skeeters, Wendy (Don) Harbour, Natasha Lesh, and Vanessa (Marcus) Sidney; nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Frank Burk,
Her family thanks God for giving her to us for so many years and for the collection of loving memories we will treasure in our hearts forever.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at San Gorgonio Memorial Park, 2201 N. San Gorgonio Ave, Banning, CA.
