Obituary of Javanna Juanita Winkler
Javanna Juanita Winkler, age 72, passed away on March 3, 2016 at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. Javanna was born on May 15, 1943 to Vaughn and Pearl Cogdill in Serverville, Tennessee. She attended Kean College in New Jersey where she earned a Masters Degree in Fine Arts and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Javanna moved to New Jersey after marriage, then later moved to California to be closer to family after her divorce. She was a talented artist and loved ceramics. She was a deeply loved mother and grandmother who touched all the lives of her family and friends.
Javanna is survived by her daughters Debbie Taylor of CA, and Angela Arguello of TX; her grandsons Jayson Harkness of CA, Joshua Taylor of NV, Jordan Fenimore of NV, Jacob Fenimore of NV, and Christopher Arguello of TX; her granddaughters Brittany Kearn of TX, Stephanie Arguello of TX, amd Erica Arguello of TX; her great-granddaughters Aylssa Wampler and Bailey Lynne Taylor of NV; and her great-grandson Joshua Taylor Jr of NV. She is also survived by Fran, Vickie, Melissa, her entire ceramic family, and all of her friends in New Jersey. Javanna was preceded in death by her parents Pearl and Vaughn Cogdill; her sister Lagretta Cates; and her dog and best friend Blue Boy.
