Obituary of Kristine Stokes
Kristine Delores Stokes was born on November 15, 1984 to Freddie Stokes and Lisa Johnson in Banning, Ca. She received her education from Banning High School graduating in 2002 and succeeded to the University of La Verne receiving her B.A. in Liberal Arts in 2006. She was an outstanding athlete while attending both schools that included soccer, track and field and cross-country. She pledged Sigma Kappa while attending the University of La Verne.
Kristine (Dede) cared and sincerely loved everyone she knew. She brought a smile that lit the entire room warming hearts. She was a one of a kind mother who wanted only the best for her son D.J. She valued her relationship with all of their friends and family and would take time out of her busy life just to show her love. She lit the room up with her golden hair and pearly smile and cherished every moment she lived, capturing all the memories she could. Dede will truly be missed; she was a Mother, Big Sissy, Niece, Cousin, Granddaughter and that Friend with the golden shoulder to lean on.
She is survived by her son Demetric Brown, Jr. (D.J.), Parents Lisa and Freddie, her siblings Felisa, Freddie, Chaz and Charla, her grandparents Freeman and Betty Jo Stokes, Paticia Callahan and a large host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Nieces. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Robert Johnson.
