Grandma taught me many things over the years and even though I couldn't make it out to her services I wanted to leave my piece here. She didn't have to accept my mother and I as family, yet she did. She didn't have to teach me how to deal with people and how to cope until the situation you're in changes, but she did that too. I would not be who and where I am if it weren't for her, and I thank her for all the laughs and tears that came from our conversations. I wanted to be there so very badly today and I wish Melody could have gotten to meet her the best great grandparent she'll ever have. However, she lives on in our hearts and memories, though she is and will continue to be greatly missed. I love you grandma, and so does the rest of our family. Thank you for teaching me that when life sucks, just say "whatever" and move on. And please say hi to Aunt Janice and grandpa for us. Fly straight grandma. I love you.
I met Marie at the clubhouse at Royal Coach. I would come to potlucks and Christmas celebrations with my mom Barbara Thomas. Marie was funny and always made a point to ask me how I was doing. I want Marie's family to know my thoughts and prayers are with them today.
Very sorry to the family and friends of Marie Baird. I only knew her as Janice's Mother and Myrna's sister. The loss of Janice was tragic but Marie made it through it with the help of friends and family. I loss my 22 year old daughter over 20 years ago and one of the first persons to reach out to me was Myrna & Marie. Marie sent me letters and cards for years. Marie was a caring and concern person which I will indeed miss.

Aunt Marie was a tough one......but one you could count on. I have been told a story of my birth by both of my parents, Herman and Lorraine Baysinger that w hen I was born the Blythe Hospital was not going to release me to go home with my parents due to insufficient funds.......that is when my aunt Marie took over. She effectively let the hospital know that there was no way they were going to hold me from going home with my parents in a way we all know Aunt Marie could do. What a woman! I saw her last at my own father's memorial service not that they ever got along that well but she was there to support me.....Thank you
Aunt Marie........rest in peace!
Shirley Houston (Baysinger)
