Obituary of Michelle Monique Rivera

Michelle Rivera, 23, went home to be with The Lord on October 17, 2015 in Banning CA. Our beautiful Michelle was born in Bellflower, Ca. on October 10, 1992. She grew up on the Morongo Indian Reservation in Banning California. She studied with Morongo Alternative Education and earned her High School diploma in 2010. Michelle is survived by: her son, Daniel Green; her Mother, Patricia Gandara-Jedrzejczak; her Step-father, Bob Jedrzejczak; her father, Rudy Rivera of Banning, CA; her brothers Max Leyva Jr., Anthony Leyva Sr., Michael Leyva and her sister, Pauline Leyva all of the Morongo Indian Reservation. She is also survived by her Sisters-in-law Sonia Sanchez-Leyva of Banning and Priscilla Torres-Leyva of the Morongo Indian Reservation; her nieces Saidy Leyva and Ciara Leyva and her nephews Anthony Leyva Jr. and Xavier Leyva; her Uncles Steven Gandara and Mario Moncada of Morongo Indian Reservation, David Gandara of Canyon Lake, Ca. and Max Leyva Sr. of Banning; her Aunts, Debbie Gandara-Moncada and Yesenia Gandara of the Morongo Indian Reservation and Kathleen Gandara of Canyon Lake, Ca.; her cousins: David Huizar, Raymond Moncada, Adrian Moncada, John Huizar Jr., Christina Gandara, Christopher Gandara, Steven Gandara Jr., Ashley Spence of the Morongo Indian Reservation and Erin Gandara, David Gandara Jr. and Paige Gandara of Canyon Lake, Ca.; her Step-sister Cristy Jedrzejczak of Florida; and her Step-grandparents of Wisconsin. Her precious baby son, Levi Green and her beloved Nana, Norma Ortiz both of the Morongo Indian Reservation, preceded Michelle in passing. Michelle was an outgoing, kind-hearted, humble girl always looking for her next adventure. She could make any situation funny and always cared about others. Her smile was contagious and she had a true heart of gold. Our lives were better for being blessed with her; she will never be forgotten and always live in our hearts. Services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Wiefels & Son Mortuary: 50 E. Nicolet St. Banning, CA. 92220. Services will include a viewing at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery: 11205 Mission Rd. Banning, CA. 92220 at 12:00 p.m.
