My condolences to the family. Ron, you will be missed.
Such a bright light in the world, a strong-spirited, kindhearted, generous, inquisitive, respectful, gentle human. This is how i have known and will remember you Ron. I wish I'd told you how much I appreciated each opportunity to train with you or talk with you; I always felt I'd been given the gift of feeling a little bit happier. May all of your beloveds find comfort and peace in the time ahead. You will be dearly missed.
Sending love and prayers to all of Ron's loved ones and friends. He is missed in this world, but his spirit is with us all.
I just wanted to add here, as I did on the Facebook post, that I considered myself very lucky to have met and trained with during his time training at Aikido of Tamalpais.
Although we talked little of matters beyond martial arts, it was clear that Ron had seen much of the world and having read his tribute, I can see I was just scratching the surface.
I will miss his thoughtful and positive physical presence.
My thoughts are with you,
Joel
One lovely aspect of Ron was his generosity of spirit that has left a lasting imprint in my heart. Forever and ever his essence will continue adding a brilliant brush stroke of color in my life. In my dreams I hear him say "Here, grab my wrist."
I knew Ron 1968-1972. We both served in Viet Nam at the same time. I knew him and first wife Carol after he came back from Laos with Continental Air Service. After his trip through Europe he ran across him again in Phoenix while he was at ASU. A dry sense of humor and quick wit, he had a smile as big as his heart. I'll miss you brother. Mike Simmons
