Obituary of Margaret Arellanes

Passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011, resting peacefully in her home in Cherry Valley surrounded by family. Margaret was born to Pedro and Carmelita Sanchez on January 4, 1925, in Banning, CA. She lived in Banning for the first 58 years of her beautiful life and moved to Cherry Valley where she lived next door to her sister for 28 more blessed years. She married Moses Arellanes on March 3, 1946. They were married for 60 years and raised two sons together. She worked at JC Pennys in Banning for 20 years, where she impacted so many peoples lives with her genuine kindness and natural compassion. Margaret was a beautiful person and had an amazing soul. Her smile would light up a room. She treated everyone like family. She loved to go to church, pray, and cook (especially for her grandchildren). She was pre-deceased in passing by her husband Moses Arellanes of 60 years, her parents Pedro and Carmelita, her sister Vera, her two brothers Michael and Pedro, and her beautiful granddaughter Lisa. She is survived by her 4 sisters: Helen Lozano, Josie Martinez, Francis Chladek and Toni Alcantara and 2 brothers Frankie and Robert Sanchez, her 2 sons and caregivers Anthony and Sam Arellanes, and her grandchildren Tony, Vickie, Roxanne, Sheila, Mariah, and Tara. Also, a special mention for Flurora Preciano (Lola) who was a blessing, loyal friend, and caregiver of Margaret for 9 years, Carmen Cervantes who also dedicated her time to care for Margaret, and her time to care for Margaret, and her loyal companion who was always by her side, Chyna, her dog.
