Obituary of Nancy Grande
Age 87, passed away June 15, 2011 in Tulare. She was born on April 10, 1924 in Banning, CA to Erwin Higbee and Alice Hill Higbee. She was a telephone operator during WWII, and part business owner of Germain's. She was a member of the Banning Women's Club, and was an honorary classroom volunteer for her daughter's and granddaughter's classrooms. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to design houses, pain oils of her grandchildren and landscapes. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, and playing piano. She loved to research and plan trips near and far.
She is survived by her daughter Diana Campbell and husband Kent of Bend, OR, her son Bond Germain and his wife Janet of Oceanside, CA, her daughter Melody Brinkman and her husband David of Tulare, CA and her son-in-law Mike Calvert of Florence, OR. She had 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 step children, Stacia Fetters, Luann Ruehle, and Jeff Grande and 5 step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Grande and her daughter Renee Calvert.
Visitation will be held on June 21, 21011 from 9am - 11am at Wiefels and Son Mortuary, Banning. Graveside Service will be immediately following at San Gorgonio Memorial Park.
