Obituary of Sally Herrera
Sally Herrera, born on Jan 17, 1930 age 81, passed away on March 12, 2011. She was fiercely devoted to the love of her life of 60 years - Pete Herrera - who preceded her in death, one year earlier.
Sally was devoted to her Church, Community and her husband. She was actively involved in the Catholic Church, most notably the Cursillos and ladies Guadulpanas ministry. She attended Precious Blood and St. Mary's Catholic Churches. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4417 ladies guild and served as treasurer for many years. Sally volunteered with Carol's Kitchen, Banning Baseball Little League, Banning Police COP and ladies guilds of Elks lodge, Moose lodge and Knight of Columbus. Prior to retirement, she managed the medical office of John Fischbach MD for over 10 years.
Sally is survived by her daughters, Flor (George) Constantino of Anchorage, AK, Roberta Herrera (Rick Spengler) of Golden, CO, Marie (Brendan) Griffin of San Carlos, CA; sons, Peter (Renee) Herrera of Murrieta, CA, Paul (Claudia) Herrera of Palm Desert, CA; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Vigil and Rosary to be held from 6-9p.m., Wed., 3/16/2011 at Wiefels & Son Memorial Chapel, Banning, CA. Memorial Mass will be held at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, Banning, on Thurs., 3/17/2011 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at San Gorgonio Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Wiefels & Son Mortuary, Banning, CA.
