Obituary of Magdalena Estrada

Magdalena "Molly" Estrada passed away on April 1, 2012 in her home in Banning, while her family surrounded her. Molly was born July 22, 1940 in Summit, Calif. and then later moved to Banning in 1948. She worked a few years at the Banning Laundry. In 1957 she began dating Jesse Estrada from Beaumont. They enjoyed movies and dances together. She went on to work at the Banning Shirt Factory for 10 years thereafter. On June 24, 1967, she married the love of her life, Jesse, in a beautiful ceremony in Banning at Precious Blood Catholic Church followed by a super fun reception at the Beaumont Woman's Club. Even though they weren't able to have children of their own, Molly and Jesse enjoyed being able to raise five godchildren together. Molly left behind her beloved husband, Jesse, of 45 years along with two brothers, Margarito (Mage) and Victor (Joe) Andrade; two sisters, Carmen Rios and Tommie Castro; 21 loving godchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is reunited in passing with her parents, Pedro and Sista Andrade; brothers, Artie, Sr. and John Andrade; and nephew, Raymond Rios. Molly enjoyed being at every family event and was always the first person to come and the last to leave. She loved to party and dance. Family would have to make sure they had a small white cake for her because she hated chocolate cake. Molly was a sweet and caring person without judgment. She will be missed dearly and be remembered and treasured in hearts forever. Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 4 to 8pm with a 7pm Rosary at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Banning. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 13 at 10am at Blessed Kateri Tekawitha Catholic Church in Beaumont. She will be laid to rest at San Gorgonio Memorial Park, Banning.
