Obituary of Sharon Schoonover
64, died at 8:45 P.M., November 12, 2010 in Loma Linda Hospital near her home in Cherry Valley, Ca. after a long battle with cancer. Born in Long Beach, CA., July 18, 1946, she was the daughter of Orval and Roberta (Cox) Hiatt. She attended Central School and Cherokee County Rural High School in Columbus. She graduated from San Bernardino, CA High School with the class of 1965. She attended Valley college in San Bernardino. Sharon worked in the offices of Triangle Rock Company and later as a programmer for the National Cash Register Company, both in San Bernardino. Sharon and Clifford Schoonover were united in marriage April 29, 1972 in Las Vegas. Sharon owned pass Energy Design. She was a member and served in several official positions in the Delta Theta Chi Sorority. An avid scrap booker, she was a member of the Quit Mouse Quilting Club of Calimesa, CA. She enjoyed traveling in the family recreational vehicle, spending much time at the beach with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping and researching family genealogy. Sharon is survived by her husband, Clifford, of the Cherry Valley, CA; four sons, Jeffery Grimm, Escondido, CA, Nathan Schoonover (Christine) of Palmdale, Ca, Erick Schoonover (Kristin Kennedy), and Mark Schoonover all of Cherry Valley, CA; one brother, Larry Hiatt (Sharon) of Columbus; grandchildren, Makenna and Gavin Grimm, Olivia, Liam and Connor Schoonover, Hannah, Kyla and Cade. A celebration of Life will be Saturday, November 20, at the New Creation Church (formerly Pure Rock), 1252 Beaumont Ave., Beaumont, Ca 92223.
